Let's play a game to get to know each other!
on: Fri 17 of Aug, 2007 [22:41 UTC] score: 0.60 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

OK here it is...it's called the person under. So whatever the question/statement is the person under it has to have it.

Like for instance....

This person has a kitten.

I have a kitten, so I would reply under it. So here is the first one!

I have a daughter.

Bikini time
on: Sat 04 of Aug, 2007 [15:59 UTC] score: 0.59 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

Surely I cant be alone in dreading this time of year. I´m not that overweight, but at 44 and 2 kids later I´m no Kate Moss! I really struggle to find a bikini, mainly due to my chest, which is an e cup in bra size, vs my bottom half at a UK 14 ( US 12). All the fashions are for tiny triangles of fabric that i´d get arrested wearing on the beach. Perhaps a nudist beach is my only option! Anyone know any where you can get a bikini for a real size woman ?? Or am I supposed to be less self concious and let it all hang out?

Soap Operas
on: Wed 18 of Jul, 2007 [20:21 UTC] score: 0.60 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

I heard that Days of Our Lives is ending in about two years. I can't believe it. I started watching it when I was 17 and was a faithful viewer up until 2 years ago. Now I don't have the time to even sit down never mind watch it. Do you watch soaps?

Celebrities
on: Wed 18 of Jul, 2007 [20:19 UTC] score: 0.60 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

I love to gossip about celebrities. Well it is part of one of the jobs I do. I even have a blog where that is all that I do...

But I really like a couple of actors...like Jensen Ackles. He is on Supernatural. I think he is the cutest. He used to be on Days of our Lives and he was one of the main reasons why I started watching that soap. But now...I tape my shows and then watch them later....

My favorite TV show
on: Wed 18 of Jul, 2007 [20:15 UTC] score: 0.60 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

I watch alot of TV, I will admit it. For me it is something that helps me keep my sanity. When I went on bedrest with my son we went out and bought a brand new bigger tv so I wouldn't get bored.

I think though that I really like reality shows...Hell's Kitchen, Big Brother and mostly House, CSI, and Lost.

What is your favorite shows???

This is a weird one for me. We don´t have satellite TV, in an effort to improve the families Spanish we watch the Spanish tv. So I have to buy DVD´s to watch anything in English. My absolute favourite is CSI Las Vegas ( hello Grissom my sweetheart!). But I also love Lost, ER and a couple of other shows like Frasier. Other than that in spanish I love cooking shows and the news because they are easy to understand!

I love watching Dora for all the Spanish. I know my daughter is taking it in school and I am so jealous because we only could take French. And I hate FRENCH!

Yeah, I was pretty convinced he picked the girls on purpose. Even in the competition, it seemed pretty obvious the guys should have won. Their dishes were much more creative... shoot, the girls' dishes seemed like something you WOULD serve at a Waffle House.

Hell's Kitchen... who will win?
on: Sun 22 of Jul, 2007 [17:22 UTC] score: 0.59 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

I love Hell's Kitchen. I get excited about it every summer. That BBC show he does is good, too... Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares or something like that.

Who do you guys think will win this year? The choices aren't so hot. Maybe Rock? I just keep rooting for the Waffle House chick to win, just because everyone keeps looking down on her.

I like Hell's Kitchen, too. Hero's is definitely my favorite, though! I hate that we're between seasons now... Luckily, Hell's Kitchen is a summer show or I'd get so bored! lol

Husbands
on: Wed 11 of Jul, 2007 [00:40 UTC] score: 0.60 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

OK I just want to know if everyone else's husband is obsessed like mine...he has this thing with my weight. I used to be a skinny mini...like 120 lbs soaking wet if I was lucky. Couldn't gain any weight to save my life!! But now that I have two children I couldn't get any lower than 160...but when I got really sick and put on steroids I gained 50 lbs and I can't lose it. My husband just gives me this sick look all the time. I did have a gym membership but I went all the time when I wasn't working. Now the doctor has pulled me from there because of my surgery.

But how do I handle the critism of my husband???

I can´t speak for anyone else, but I was the same as you when I was younger and put on 2 stone after the kids. However, my husband also has gained weight after 40 and we just are both a cuddlier version of who we used to be. I like my men a little on the larger side, well just a bit cuddly. You are still you inside, if you want to lose weight, do it for yourself. Sometimes I feel like I´ve been half my life on a diet, and for what? Now at 44 I´m watching my weight and eating healthier so I can be here longer for the kids. That sure focusses you on the things you do to your body. Good luck though, I can´t take the criticism of something so personal. Try to ignore it and just keep going step by step.

My surgery
on: Sat 30 of Jun, 2007 [00:41 UTC] score: 0.60 Vote: 1 2 3 4 5

The pain I am feeling is astounding. You know I never thought a hysterectomy would hurt so much. Does anyone know of any ways to relieve the pulling pain??
