How to balance my time

Hey Everyone,

I am new to this site, and very excited to share with you one of the areas I am struggeling with.

As a stay home mom, a Direct Sales Network marketing business woman I find it really hard to choose what to focus on.

My first priority is - my kids, but than I get forstrated with not enough time to grow my business. I love what I do, but like anyother thing, you need to water it for it to grow.

How do you manage your time? how do you feel when you are home doing work, when you really want to play with the kids?

Any idea is GREAT

Thanks, Relli Siegel

I struggle with this one, as a lot of my work at home happens when the phone rings, and when people hear me with 2 squealing kids or barking dogs ( i have 4) in the background, it must sound so unprofessional! It is the major downside, so much so that I have considered renting an office, but that I can ill afford. But it is a catch 22. Working from home you can only grow a business so much... at some point it seems to me that you have to make the leap.

I work from home too. I must admit that I am at my computer working and researching most of the day. I do make sure that I get out a couple times a day away from the house or I would never do it. Now that my daughter is home from school it has actually been easier because they go play with the neighbors most of the day.

I really feel guilty because I probably work 12 hours a day. But I know that my kids love me and cherish that I am here with them. cool

I think it can be so hard to balance. Now I work from home and at a day job, so it's a big whammy. The best thing I have found works is to have a schedule of when playtime and care time (feedings, etc.) is versus work time, and keep the two separate. Otherwise, you are fighting kids to do work and fighting work to spend time with kids. I also do a lot of work after everyone's gone to bed and during naps.

I think if you designate, say, a couple hours of playtime in the morning, the kids are also more willing to play quietly or watch TV for a little bit while you work during your set working time.

It is a really tough balance, though, no doubt about it!
