  • Dishing out the goods. When unloading your dishwasher put the dishes on your dining room table so its already set. Why put them in the cupboard only to have to take them out a couple of hours later?
  • Have personalized laundry baskets. Put a name on a laundry basket for each family member. As you are taking clothes out of the dryer the right clothes go to the right people. This way your children can grab their own basket and put their clothes away.
  • Check the tires on your car. Check them at least once a month. If you have under-inflated tires it can be a huge safety hazard and they also cause huge fuel consumption.
  • Plan your menu. Plan your weeks menu on the weekend. You can then count on ONE trip to the grocery store instead of many. This will make you stress less because you will know what you are having for supper every night.
  • Learn the word-DELEGATE. Kids are more than ready to help when you need it. Make sure you take advantage of this fact and ask them to help. If you ask for the little things to get done it eill help you greatly. Remember that saying thank you will go a long way.
  • Test it out before you commit to buying it. This will help you realize if you really need the item or if it can wait for now. So for the things with the big price tags borrow, rent or try it out before putting down your hard earned cash.
  • Making a list is a good thing. Get into the habit of making a daily "TO DO" list. This should include everything you want to get done during the day.
  • Use your noodle. Replace all your incandescent light bulbs with the new energy saving flourescent bulbs. They have the same brightness, but uses less electricity, it will save you money in the long run.
  • Spend time with your children. Try to use the time when your kids are sleeping to do your housework so you can spend more time with your children when they are awake.
