Benefits of Creating a Family Web Site
By: Judy Lin on: Wed 06 of Jun, 2007 [01:09 UTC] (3291 reads)

It’s not everyday that we can find the time that we want to spend with our families. With all the demands in life, long working hours, and taking care of domestic affairs, family can sometimes take a temporary backseat. But, new technology on the Web today can revive the importance of family and highlight extraordinary moments with family Web sites.

Family is where we begin our journey. Amongst busy lives, who has time to dig out old, bulky photo albums in the closet, scan & arrange photos, burn CDs, and mail prints to loved ones?

The traditional way of sharing family activities and special moments captured on photos & videos are now giving way to the emergence of family destination Web sites such as those you can create on The Family Postexternal link.

These sites provide elegant, fast and easy ways to organize, store, and share your family memories in a secured, online environment. To have your own family site and Web address is a golden key to crystallizing life’s memories and treasured family moments.

Relatives and friends around the world can access your site at anytime and you can opt for password-protection. It’s a smart, simple, integrated tool that keeps your family connections strong and alive. One glance at a photo can trigger immense emotions and instill great joy.

TheFamilyPost?.com is a provider of family sites with pre-designed thematic templates and vast music selection where customization can be made. Each family can have their own site or share pics, videos, blogs, calendars, and post comments.

It is the “virtual family room” that guests can come in and interact with one another. Getting your own family site takes only a few minutes to springboard your family keepsakes.

By embracing the next level of sharing, communicating and connecting with family, an online presence can enhance any family lifestyle and create a bonding experience. Family sites are a pioneering vehicle for visual communication that conquers the fleeting element of time.

Here are the benefits of creating a family Web site at The Family Post:

  • Organize, store, & share all your photos, videos, calendar events on your site
  • Get your own family web address
  • Choose from multiple design templates
  • Choose from expansive music selection
  • Exchange dialogue through family message boards, post comments and emails
  • Safe and secured online with optional password-protection

Family tree

My kids love to do this sort of thing, and have been using scrapbooks to keep records of family holidays and events for a while. I think when they are a bit older we will go for the web version, it sounds great. My Dad has been tracking the family history and tree for years now, so he often sends us information on the past which my older boy finds fascination, even if he can´t understand all the concepts of "generations". It´s a great thing to do as a family.lol
