Not only do you need to talk to your teenagers about sex you need to find out the laws in your state about teenagers who have sex. In the state of Texas it is against the law for you to have sex with someone 2 ½ years younger then you if you are younger then eighteen.

An eighteen-year-old High School student in New Hampshire named Damon Hadley is finding out his state laws the hard way. He was dating a 15 ½ year-old, high school girl. That he had expressed his love to and one day decided to give his virginity too. His girlfriend’s parents didn’t allow her to date, so they kept their dating under wraps. On the day that they decided to have sex, they also decided to skip a few classes at school.

When they went back to school and tried to sneak back into class they were busted by school staff. They were separated and asked where they were. Damon continued to class and finished his day at school.

When the last bell rang ending the school day, Damon walked out and saw his girlfriend's father and brother waiting in a car outside. The two got out of the car and ran towards him and hit him. Damon reportedly said that he did not move or throw a punch. The girl's father repeatedly kept saying did you have sex with my daughter.

The school resource officer finally pulled the girl’s father off of him and Damon went to the nurses office. The next day, after being treated in the hospital for cuts and bruises on his face, Damon and his mother went into the police office to file a report and found out that the girl had filed rape charges.

Even though the girl later recanted the rape charges, Damon Hadley had admitted to having sex with her and that was a crime. He had admitted to the truth and admitted to a crime without even knowing it. In the State of New Hampshire a person cannot consent to having sex until they are the age of sixteen.
