As a human being, it's important to realize that our bodies are all we have in this life. We need to maintain it like a machine or it will fail.

 

Our bodies need certain amounts of nutrition and exercise for it to even be considered healthy. If we are paying no mind to how we are eating or living this can negatively affect us in the long run.

The best thing to do is set realistic goals for yourself and where you want to be in maintaining some sort of healthy lifestyle. There is simply a science to how we are supposed to eat.

It's important to intake the right amount of carbs, proteins, dairy's, fruits, and vegetables everyday. Trying not to overlap these nutrients are important in seeing the most effective results. In the morning be sure to have some sort of starch like a piece of toast, with peanut butter which would be your protein. Have a serving of fruit and dairy with that and this makes a well balanced breakfast.

Two hours later, be sure to have a breakfast snack like a piece of fruit with a yogurt this will tie you over to lunch time. At lunch time it's important to consume 2 starches, a meat (protein) a cheese (dairy), a fruit and a vegetable and some sort of fat. This could be a small serving of butter on top of your vegetables.

Two hours after lunch be sure to have an afternoon snack like a dairy and a starch. This could be a granola bar and a yogurt. When dinner time arrives be sure to consume 2 starches, a meat, a cheese, dairy, fruit, and a vegetable. Dinner time should be between 5 and 6 pm. Feel free to have a small snack 1 to 2 hours before bed time. This could be a yogurt and a starch or fruit.

Eating 3 main meals a day with 3 small snacks in between will help balance and maintain a healthy weight for you. It will also decrease your desire to snack and over eat when you shouldn't be.

Following this plan everyday will help keep your body functioning correctly. Following an exercise regimen everday will reinforce your meal plans since exercise is so very important and vital to our health, especially our heart.
