It's the beginning of a new year, so I'm sure there are many resolutions to lose weight.  Have you considered cleansing/detoxifying your body?  Weight loss, improved organ function and increased energy are some of the benefits to cleansing your body.

When you cleanse your body of the toxins and chemicals that we take in by eating and just breathing, you will feel better.  Many of the foods we eat today have preservatives and other chemicals in them that are not natural for our body.  Additionally there is pollution in the air that deposit toxins to our body.   Cleansing your body will allow your liver, lungs and other organs to function much better.  

While cleansing your body, it is important to take a good multivitamin and drink plenty of water.  In order to cleanse, you will have to excrete a lot of excess.  Drinking at least 64oz of water a day will ensure that you don't get dehydrated.  The multivitamin gives your body the vitamins it requires during this process.  

There are several different methods to cleansing.  Using a cleansing program that includes herbal pills and minerals is quite common and they typically come with instructions.  The cleansing programs can take 1 - 3 months to complete.  An alternative method would be eliminating as many toxins as possible while maintaining a diet of fresh fruit and vegetables for a few weeks.  No matter which method you prefer, you will need to avoid alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and other unnatural substances.

The first time that I completed a cleansing program, I lost 5% of my body weight.   I was elated and I had so much energy.  I felt like a new person.  Here are a few web sites that can provide additional information on cleansing:
