My kids can make me feel all kinds of emotions all in the same day. My favorite is when they make me laugh. They repeat things they "hear" very matter of fact. They state them with the utmost confidence. Then you have to hide the urge to laugh.
My bonus daughter, we prefer this term over step-daughter, went to the Jonas Brothers concert last week with her mother. The next day when she came home, she decided to share with the family something she learned while attending the concern. It was a very serious and sad thing. We were very interested to see what she was going to say. She announces to us; "Nick has Taekwondo diabetes."
As I look at her trying to figure out what she was talking about she continued with her story.
"The Jonas Brothers have a new song, "A Little Bit Longer". The song is about Nick's struggle with diabetes. Everyone was crying and Nick couldn't finish singing because he got emotional while singing it."
As the story came to a close I realized, it was Type I diabetes. Do you think that could sound like Taekwondo diabetes in an arena with thousands of fans?
