hiring-mom-editors, photo by Matthew BowdenType-A Mom is currently hiring mom editors for a variety of topics of interest to moms. Official Type-A Mom editors receive a 50-50 share of Adsense revenue like all Type-A Mom writers do, but they also get some great fringe benefits such as a free banner ad in the sitewide rotation and access to demo items to review. Keep posted on announcements of new editors, as well as new mom editor postings, by subscribing to the Type-A Mom feed in email or a reader:

I also always post about new openings (as well as contests and other exciting news) at my Twitter Type-A Mom profile.

Follow Type-A Mom on Twitter

Mom editors will get extra exposure for their profile and articles with a link and photo on the main topic page. They will also get extra promotion and links in their own bios on a Type-A Mom Editors page still to be created. They also get 100 percent of commissions made via affiliate revenue.

The requirements for an editor are simply to post one article weekly on your mom topic. You can also post articles on other topics as well, so long as your one weekly article on your main topic is completed. A typical article is between 300 and 500 words, and provides tips and your unique mom experience and insight. It's as simple as that.

Below is a list of available Mom Editor slots at Type-A Mom. Click the topic that interests you below to apply, and include in your email a little about your experience with the topic you wish to edit. As the slots are assigned or there are several qualified applicants for one category, topics no longer available will be shown with strikethrough and no longer be linkable.

If you have any questions, you can find some details about writing for Type-A Mom. You can also visit the Mom Writers forum for some tips and to post questions. If you don't feel comfortable committing to a weekly article or would prefer to write on any topic, anytime, you might consider writing for Type-A Mom instead of the editor positions.

I am interested in a position with your company. I have 15 years experience as the wife of the same man, as we have been blessed with an unusually good marriage. It has not been without its challenges, but we have been successful in handling a wide variety of life challenges. We have 3 children, 13yo girl, 11yo girl, and 7yo boy. We have home schooled all three, and as you can see by the ages and genders of these chidren, have experienced a myriad of challenges. Girls are emotionally draining, boys are physically draining, so I understand why moms are so tired all the time. I know what its like to try and talk to the girls while little brother is jumping around naked in the background trying to be a superhero. I also know how it feels to hear the constant "she hurt my feelings" and deal with all the tears of pre-teen, and now early teenage girls. All this while the cats are being chased by the dog, the dog is being chased by my son, the girls are screaming, the laundry alarm goes off, and the phone rings! I like to add humor to my writing, while keeping it real. Women need reasurrance that they are not alone in this journey of motherhood, and it's okay to laugh at ourselves every now and then. In addition to all this, I also have written for brijit, teach a few private music lessons, and teach music at two home school co-ops. I feel completely confident that I could meet the requirement of one article per week, and think it would be quite theraputic as well!

My name is Becky. I am a mother of 6. Two by chance and four by love. I have been in the process of adopting a sibling group of four children for two years now.

We have children that range in the ages of 13b, 12g, 11b, 9b, 8g, 7g. No twins, but at times i have at least ones set that are the same age. It is very interesting trying to figure it all out some days.

I am a business owner of a donut shop, and I also work from home as an at home operator. I am also the wife of a youth pastor. We have been married for 15 years this summer.

avatar Hi, my name is Tracy Gaudet and I am very intersted in becoming a Mom editor. I am a stay at home mama who is ridiculouly passionate about my two kids ( Alexander 4yrs and Bridget 7 mnths). my two babies are like day and night, Alex is an outgoing very easy to care for kinda guy while Bridget some may call "spirited". I have been to both sides of the parenting spectrum and lived to tell the tale. Please let me know if you have anything for me. Thanks, Tracy

avatar My name is Christina. I'm interested in becoming an editor. Professionally, I am a graphic designer and public relations professional.

Personally, I have a 10 month old and because I'm a journalist and a little OCD I have devoured information on parenting. Simply, I don't like unanswered questions and parenting opens the floodgate to questions. Writing after everyone has gone to bed is my saving grace. One article a week is completely manageable. I look forward to hearing from you.
