Type-A Mom blogger hanging out and live blogging from BlogHer '08, a conference for women bloggers. Talking about the panels, the swag, and the amazing community of women here in San Francisco.
Howdy from San Francisco! I am here at BlogHer '08, sitting in the second day's morning keynote presentation, waiting for my caffeine to kick in. I flew in from Philadelphia on Thursday morning and I have yet to get enough sleep to feel like I can both speak and type coherently, yet, I am trying.
I will say this: I learned that most of us Mommy Bloggers believe that blogging about parenting is a radical act, for a multitude of reasons--whether you make money blogging about it or not. I learned that most of the coolest mommy bloggers I read are even cooler, prettier, and thinner (bitches) in person then I expected. And everyone thinks I'm much shorter then they expected. Heh.
But the highlight of the convention so far? Seriously? Getting to meet the REAL GROVER from Sesame Street and make a video with him for my daughter. I've been a Grover fan since I was 3, and I was GIDDY. Seriously.
I'll post again at the end of the day and let you know how today's panels go. Unless I get invited to the cool parties tonight. If that happens, you'll have to wait until I get home. Heh.
