The weekend is a way to kick back go to the park or see a good flick. Iron Man came to theatres on May 2, we went to see it and it was great. This was a great movie to kick off the summer with. It is PG 13 but this is something for the kids to enjoy as well as parents. We as parents are always trying to find something to do with our children whether it is going to the park or planning a gathering or play date in this case a good movie.
The movie that kicks off the summer Iron Man! Iron Man came out May 2nd and I promised my kids that I would take them to see it today. What a way to kick back, eat some goobers and chow down on some butter popcorn.
Iron Man was a PG 13 movie and the lines were packed with parents and their anxious children. This was my birthday gift to my sons and they really enjoyed every moment of it. The movie is about Stan Lee's Marvel comics of a character named Tony Starks scientific genius who creates mass weapons of destruction for the goverment.
Tony Starks is captured and later learns that his weapons he creates for the U.S goverment is also found in the hands of U.S. enemies. Tony has a changed of heart and tries to fix what he has made wrong creating his own superhero named Iron Man.
As a parent I can say that this movie will have you on the edge of your seat with anticipation and wonderful humor. I do suggest that children are accompanied with their parents to view the movie. Iron Man does have a story to tell and can be meaingful. I told my kids that the character is someone who did something that was wrong but found a way to make things right.
As individuals we all have done something we have regretted and sometimes you can get that second chance by grace to learn from your mistakes and make a difference for the better and that is what the Iron Man is establishing.
Being a mom of 3 boys I have to keep up with these comic book characters and it is nice for kids to believe in superheros. At least I know that they still believe in things like the tooth fairy or santa or even a superhero that can fly made of steel. Iron Man is a definite go by me and, if you're still not convinced, I suggest the parents decide to go for themselves and then make the decision whether you want you kid to watch it.
Remember it is PG 13 Parental Guidence is necessary but the special effects were amazing! The actor Robert Downey Jr. has really done a superperb job, Terrence Howard and the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow keep the movie interesting, humorous and on your toes. So if you're undecided on what to do for your Saturday or even Sunday, go kick back in some seats get some reese's pieces and butterery popcorn and enjoy the movie Iron Man. This movie has got my two thumbs up!
