Well, my 5-year-old has started pulling things out of her nose... and smearing them on the wall! She has two of what we call her "booger walls." One is next to her bed, and one is right outside her door in the hall. We have paint to create a princess room for her, but we've told her she doesn't get pink walls until she cleans it up herself... EWWW!! My husband said he was gagging trying to clean it up!
Oh, and the other day my twins were playing with playdough. It was like they couldn't resist trying to eat it. They'd play and play, then start jamming it in their mouth. I'd say NO! And they'd stop. Moments later, they were doing it again.
My oldest child (now 8) was born with a cleft palate and lip. For almost her first whole year, the space between her palate was left unrepaired (which is typical), although her lip had been repaired when she was 4 months old. So one time between the two surgeries, I found an odd surprise coming OUT of her nose at lunch. At first, I thought it was some kind of strangely coagulated snot, kind of long and noodly-like. I tried to pull it out, and what to my wondering eyes did appear but a 3-inch spaghetti noodle passing smoothly out her nose! It had worked its way up through the space in her palate and was on its way out. She stayed calm, kept eating, and looked at me like, "What? This is really no big deal, Mom"
