Type-A Mom is currently hiring mom editors for a variety of topics of interest to moms. Official Type-A Mom editors receive a 50-50 share of Adsense revenue like all Type-A Mom writers do, but they also get some great fringe benefits such as a free banner ad in the sitewide rotation and access to demo items to review.
What Mom Editors Get
A 50-50 share of Google Adsense impressions on their article pages
A 50-50 split of direct ad sales revenue in their entire topic section, even for articles written by others
If the editor herself refers an advertiser to her section, she gets 75 percent of direct ad sales for that ad in her section.
100 percent of affiliate revenue through text linking in article body (for example, linking the title of a book you mention in an article to Amazon and getting commission if someone buys it)
100 percent of revenue through affiliate banner ads displayed in their section
Extra exposure for their profile and articles with
a link and photo on the main topic page.
What Are Type-A Mom Requirements
The requirements for an editor are simply to post one article weekly on
your mom topic. You can also post articles on other topics as well, so
long as your one weekly article on your main topic is completed. A
typical article is between 300 and 500 words, and provides tips and
your unique mom experience and insight. It's as simple as that.
You will also be responsible for editing (just for typos, style, formatting and grammatical errors) any articles submitted by writers in your section. These articles will first get a read, and then you will get informed when it's time to do a second read. Each individual section does not often have submissions, and if you are getting a lot that is probably good anyway (as these are more chances for your ads to get seen and you to get revenue).
If you have any questions, you can find some details about writing for Type-A Mom. You can also visit the Mom Writers forum for some tips and to post questions. If you don't feel comfortable committing to a weekly article or would prefer to write on any topic, anytime, you might consider writing for Type-A Mom instead of the editor positions. I am interested in a position with your company. I have 15 years experience as the wife of the same man, as we have been blessed with an unusually good marriage. It has not been without its challenges, but we have been successful in handling a wide variety of life challenges. We have 3 children, 13yo girl, 11yo girl, and 7yo boy. We have home schooled all three, and as you can see by the ages and genders of these chidren, have experienced a myriad of challenges. Girls are emotionally draining, boys are physically draining, so I understand why moms are so tired all the time. I know what its like to try and talk to the girls while little brother is jumping around naked in the background trying to be a superhero. I also know how it feels to hear the constant "she hurt my feelings" and deal with all the tears of pre-teen, and now early teenage girls. All this while the cats are being chased by the dog, the dog is being chased by my son, the girls are screaming, the laundry alarm goes off, and the phone rings! I like to add humor to my writing, while keeping it real. Women need reasurrance that they are not alone in this journey of motherhood, and it's okay to laugh at ourselves every now and then. In addition to all this, I also have written for brijit, teach a few private music lessons, and teach music at two home school co-ops. I feel completely confident that I could meet the requirement of one article per week, and think it would be quite theraputic as well!

My name is Becky. I am a mother of 6. Two by chance and four by love. I have been in the process of adopting a sibling group of four children for two years now.
We have children that range in the ages of 13b, 12g, 11b, 9b, 8g, 7g. No twins, but at times i have at least ones set that are the same age. It is very interesting trying to figure it all out some days.
I am a business owner of a donut shop, and I also work from home as an at home operator. I am also the wife of a youth pastor. We have been married for 15 years this summer.

I have a web site that has work at home jobs and surveys.
Hi, my name is Tracy Gaudet and I am very intersted in becoming a Mom editor. I am a stay at home mama who is ridiculouly passionate about my two kids ( Alexander 4yrs and Bridget 7 mnths). my two babies are like day and night, Alex is an outgoing very easy to care for kinda guy while Bridget some may call "spirited". I have been to both sides of the parenting spectrum and lived to tell the tale. Please let me know if you have anything for me. Thanks, Tracy
My name is Christina. I'm interested in becoming an editor. Professionally, I am a graphic designer and public relations professional.
Personally, I have a 10 month old and because I'm a journalist and a little OCD I have devoured information on parenting. Simply, I don't like unanswered questions and parenting opens the floodgate to questions. Writing after everyone has gone to bed is my saving grace. One article a week is completely manageable. I look forward to hearing from you.
My name is Jessica and I would love to become a mom editor. I was previously a highschool history teacher, but left the profession to have a baby. My son is 6 months old and is the best thing that ever happened in my life. My husband and I both come from large families (8 kids) as my son is the 14th grandchild so I have lots of experience dealing with a variety of children and have been blessed to observe many different parenting styles. I love to travel and have already vacationed with my six month old. I absolutely love to write, learn, and research about new things. I would love the challenge of writing articles because I feel that my life is lacking intellectual stimulation. I would enjoy passing on my experiences and knowledge in exchange for advice from other mothers.
I am interested in becoming a Mom Editor for the category of Single Moms.
I personally have experienced that difficult road and faced the challenges that it presents.
Believe me, being a single mom and having to do everything for yourself, makes you a stronger individual and much more able to stand on your own two feet.
I would love to be able to share my knowledge, tips and lessons learned with others who may be single moms.
I am interested in being an Editor for the Kids/Crafts position.
I am a mother to two beautiful girls ages 10 and 7 years. I am a wife, a 6th grade reading teacher and a veteran of the United States Army. I have my Masters degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelors in Foreign Language Education for French.
I have traveled quite extensively both before and during my military career not only in our great country but across Europe as well.
I love teaching, I am a good writer, and I am good at research. I believe with my background as a mom, teacher and a veteran, I have the experience and personality to be a good writer for this topic. When I set my mind to something, I stick to it and am not afraid to try to succeed at things that others may not attempt. Like going into the army at age 32 yrs! :-) And...I am not afraid to try new activites, like making my dream hobby a reality.
I had decided after wanting a koi pond "forever", that the only way I was going to get one was to build it myself. So, I began my research and saved my "allowance". I now have a beautiful 3,150 gallon koi pond with a 20 foot stream and two waterfalls. I dug it and built it completely by myself. The only help I got from my husband and brother in law was to lay the main liner in across the 12' X 14' X 3' deep hole I had dug.
I have tons I could write just about this experience alone. Also, since the pond was built, there are many fantastic stories about our little "ecosystem" and the things the girls and I have discovered together. Like our first "frog frenzy" and the resulting tadpoles that we got to watch go through their lifecycle. These are experiences I would like to share as well as write articles about how moms could build their own pond (big or small) where they too could find a little escape to relax to the bubbling sounds of the stream and waterfall and where they could make lasting memories with their own children. Articles and stories would be done in steps. Each step of building their pond would include personal stories and experiences shared with my girls and links to pictures.
As a teacher, I have the summers off and would really like an opportunity to be creative and possibly earn money while being able to stay at home with my children. Of course, being a teacher, I could share study strategies and helpful tips to parents and not just for helping their kids do better at reading. Also, I was the Financial Aid Advisor and an Academic Advisor for our local community college. I have lots of helpful and inspirational stories about moms that went back to school after being divorced and never thinking they would be in the position to go back later in life after having kids. I know how to help people believe in theirself enough to want to try and I also know how to help them to find the financial means to get into school.
I hope I have piqued your interest and look forward to hearing from you soon.
