Going on a date with your husband can be cheap and fun at the same time. My husband and I really haven't dated yet. We have only been out
without the children only once or twice. I wish we had more time to
date. And when we do it doesn't have to be expensive!
Here are some cheap date ideas:
Hiking: We often do this as a family because we love to
explore. We cross river and just let ourselves get lost in the
wilderness. You can do this with just your husband or wife. And if you
really feel brave you can even go skinny dipping.
Cost: $0
Visit a dollar store: Go together and pick out a silly gift
for each other. At least you are spending time and money with each
other. Don't know what to get him? Every man could use a roll of duct
tape or a flashlight.
Cost: Roughly $2
Take advantage of free concerts in the park: Go to the free
concerts in the park that they have in the summer. Pack a picnic lunch
and a blanket and enjoy the sights and sounds.
Cost: Roughly $4
Go for a coffee: Go to a local coffee shop and really enjoy
each other's company. Read the newspapers and talk about everything but
your children. It can be great to get to know your husband or wife again,
realizing you are both adults.
Cost: Roughly $6
Check out the free wine tasting: Wine tasting is a great
experience. If you go with your husband or wife you can share lots of
giggles (or laughs) with him/her. And after the wine tasting you can go
out for a pizza. This is probably the best date idea of them all.
Cost: Roughly $10
Go to a diner to get burgers and sodas: There is nothing
like being old fashioned and remembering how they dated back in the old
days. After you are done eating drive to a spot that has a good view
and park there. Being alone in silence is okay too, its probably a
noise you're not used to.
Cost: Roughly $12
