Happy Mother's Day to you, to me, and to moms everywhere -- and to everyone everywhere who mothers children. Whether you choose to breastfeed or not, your many acts of mothering are what make you a mother.

Today's article is a very brief one, because, well, today is Mother's Day! I have a whole lot of nothing to do (for a change).

On this Mother's Day, keep in mind that nourishing your child will be an ongoing process, and whether you breastfeed or formula feed is a personal choice. You're the mom, and you know what's best for you and your child.

Feel good about the choice you've made, and know that your love nourishes your child's mind, heart, and soul. Nourishment of the body is just one part of raising a healthy, happy child.

Happy, happy Mother's Day to you today and every day!

Laurel is a writer and editor. She, her two sons, husband, and two dogs live in Wilmington, Delaware. She loves Mother's Day, because it's one day when she can do absolutely nothing and feel good about it!
