Another in our series on the much needed discounts and freebies for twins and multiples, today we focus on a freebie for one item sure to drain any new parents' bank account after the arrival of twins: FORMULA!
Mead Johnson, producers of Enfamil formula, operates a program which entitles twins and higher order multiples a free case of formula each! Because of the obvious potential for fraud, Mead Johnson requires pediatricians to submit for the free formula, and they may get more information through a local sales representative. But, once a copy of birth certificates and hospital records are received, each child will receive one, free case of formula!

I personally participated in this program when my twins were infants at the urging of my pediatrician's office, and they happily obliged by sending in all the necessary information. I received my formula in about 2-3 weeks directly to my home. Also, be sure and ask your Dr for as many free samples as he or she is willing to give you. Every little bit helps!
My pediatrician has an Enfamil representative who works with their office. All I had to do was call her and she took care of everything with the pediatrician's office. It was fantastic.
Hi! Just another tip on this one. My local Mothers of Multiples club was able to hook me up directly with the regional rep to get a free case. It was really simple and easy. The only bummer was that they sent a case of the cans of liquid. I wish I had asked about getting the powder instead, as it would have lasted much longer. Maybe it isn't an option, but just FYI you may want to ask.
My pediatrician has the rep too and hooked me up. I got 2 free cases and double the amount of coupons for six months. Then in the hospital they felt bad for me (I was alone taking care of them) they gave me 3 cases of food, bottles, nipples, receiving blankets, diaper bags, wipes, sponge bath buckets, thermometers, and newborn t-shirts with the hand covers. I was so thankful. Thank you UCH in Tampa, Florida.
