House Sub-Committee Questions Cancer and Cell Phone Use

In September 27, 2008 the United States House of Representatives House Oversight Sub-Committee on Domestic Policy began taking testimony to explore the dangers of cell phone use and cancer tumors.  The bulk of the testimony taken revealed the experts did not offer much to dispel the dangers.

When you're faced with the cold, hard fact that you will never be able to produce offspring naturally, it can be the thing that makes or breaks you.  Off and on throughout my years of womanhood, I was told different things. “It’s normal to go months without a period.” “It’s just how your body works, that’s all.”  And the all too often, “Stop complaining. Some women would love to give up their periods.”  Yet, when I was married and wanting to have children, the tag lines changed.  Now I heard, “You're barren.  It's a fact of life and you should seek therapy to deal with it.” or “If it's meant to happen, it will happen, don’t worry about it.” 

Well, I was worried. Very worried as a matter of fact. I went a whole year without a period at one point and my husband and I had been trying to conceive for years.  Then I met the one and only doctor with a clue.  An endocrinologist, who had become my specialist to get to the root of the problem.  Why wasn’t I having regular periods?
