Type-A Mom is now a year old. Isn't she just adorable? To give this occasion the proper honors, I felt we simply must have a contest. What better way to celebrate a birthday than with some presents. Not only can you enter to win some wonderful mom goodies, but you can get extra entries by helping create buzz about Type-A Mom. It also dawned on me, as I prepared to start the contest, that many Type-A Mom visitors, writers, and even editors don't know the full story behind Type-A Mom. So for those of you who don't bore easily, here's some information all About Type-A Mom, including the history, the vision and the future.

Also, simply keep the question, "Is this mom-owned?" in the back of your mind as you make your daily purchasing decisions!

Enter to Win Supercool Supermom Prizes
So, get to the point, you say? Fine. Bottom line, I know moms are time pressed. So here it is, several options for entering this contest. You can do one or all of these, and each method you use will be another chance to win. For example, if you post a comment and you invite three friends (who accept and join Type-A Mom), you get FOUR chances to win a prize! That, coupled with 11 prizes, means your odds aren't too shabby.
The main point of the entry methods is this: since Type-A Mom is run by me, a mom, and not investors, its success has relied heavily on the power of Word of Mom Marketing. We moms are pretty powerful. So help take Type-A Mom to the next level by using some of these methods below to help Type-A Mom get some more exposure, which helps the site and all the many moms who are writers and editors here.
Rest assured, I won't share your information for anything with anyone. The only time I will share information is with the contest sponsors to tell them where to send the prizes. Just be sure if you enter by commenting that you fill out the field for email (not published on the site) so you can be contacted.

The Supercool Supermom Contest Rules
Hey, we had to have some. The contest runs from May 5 through June 5 (at midnight Eastern Standard Time). The winners will be announced by June 15.
Each method of entering above constitutes another chance to get a prize. Someone who uses five options above, for example, will have five times the chances to win of someone who enters through just one method.
The winners should be in the U.S. and Canada (although if a prize is virtual, such as Babble Soft, anyone is welcome to win it). Otherwise, the winner will be responsible to pay any extra shipping costs overseas.
You can enter in the various methods listed above, but one person or household can only win one prize.
The winners will be selected at random using Random.org to generate a top list. Then prizes will be awarded from number 1 down until all prizes are awarded.

and yes, it is mom-owned and operated! (with a little, ok, a LOT of help from my friends and computer-savvy family)
Mother's Day 2002 for me was a day filled with renewed appreciation for being a Mother.
This was the first Mother's day after my youngest was home from the NICU. This was the Mother's Day that might have been very different if our NICU outcome had been worse.
Best Mother's Day ever? Let's see. This year. Well it hasn't happened yet but today my 5 year old son ran into my room with "presents." He had made them before I woke this morning. Along with what he made at preschool. And he "helped" his 8 month old sister make a card. It was fun. Unexpected. And just lovely.
my mother's day? pulled evil deer tick off the toddler, played in creek with boys, ate take out chinese, watched The Incredibles with everyone, now waiting for the hubs to peel me a peppermint patty. pretty darn good
I'm a sucker for contests as cool as this one. Great job!

I'd post it on my blog, but seriously, no on reads my blog (and I have the google analytics numbers to prove it!)
And last but not least:
My best mother's day moment was this year when my mother surprised me by handing down her grandmother's engagement ring to me as a present. This was something I never expected to see until after she was gone, as up until the time she gave it to me, she wore it every day. It is a treasure to receive a gift of such great sentimental value when the woman who gives it to you is still around to say "thank you" to.
Thanks for the info I'll add it.
