I always think dads get the short end of the stick at Christmas, they
are so hard to buy for and there are only so many pairs of comedy socks
a man can take. Stocking stuffers are a great way for the kids to get
involved in either the gift buying as they are usually under 5 dollars,
ideal for pocket money, or gift choosing.
Most kids, when asked what
daddy wants for Christmas, shout “Dinosaurs! Power Ranger DVD! Star
Wars Lego!” Not necessarily Daddy’s first choice, but you can let them
have some influence over these small gift ideas.
Emergency Mobile Phone Charger - Just plug it in to your phone and the
AA battery gives you an extra 2 hours talk time. This will appeal to
the Gadget lover (Hey boys, have you seen what I’ve got?) the Worrier
(what happens if I’m in the middle of nowhere and the battery gives
up??) and Mr. Forgetful (Sorry Love, I should have called but I forgot
to charge my phone last night…)
USB Cup warmer – Is there anything more annoying than, having gone to
the effort of making him a cup of coffee whilst he slogs over the
family budget on the PC and an hour later it is still sat there stone
cold? With this handy device it can be kept warm for another hour!
Spud Guns – Could these be the last vestige of Dads youth that hasn’t
been banned for being too dangerous? I defy any father not to have fun
with one of these…and it will delight the kids as well!
Rubik’s Cube – ok so maybe THIS is the last vestige of Dads youth that
hasn’t been banned for being too dangerous! Will this toy ever be
boring? I don’t think so! Guaranteed to keep dads amused, and the kids
vexed, for hours! And now with the help of online solutions, you might
actually get some sleep as well.
Magic tricks – Who said you can’t teach and old dog new tricks?! Give
the Old Man a chance to learn some new ways to amaze (and surely
embarrass) his kids.
All of these are readily available over the internet, but just beware,
when it comes to Dad´s turn to help the kids choose YOUR gift, he may
well seek revenge!
